Client is looking for Construction (Field Coordinator)

Requirements/Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
- 15+ years’ experience
- Brownfield Projects
- Petrochemical Plants
- Power Plants
- Proven experience working on KSA projects.
- Strong experience in Brownfield Projects within operating facilities.
- Extensive experience in Turnaround (TA), Shutdown Projects.
- Familiarity with Saudi international standards.
- Proficiency in fire risk assessments, HAZOP/HAZID, and escape route planning.
Responsibilities
Overall safety of the construction effort including
- Adherence to client safety rules and regulations, including Guiding Principles and Tenets of Operation
- Promoting and participating in client and contractor safety observation programs
- Ensuring all aspects of Operational Excellence are followed, including adherence to EHS-5180 for all contractors and subcontractors
- Zero Tolerance on all Life-Critical safety procedures
- Conducting and participating in periodic safety meetings and audits
- Periodic safety meetings including daily crew and monthly group
- Ensuring review and approval of all heavy lift plans
- Contractor and subcontractor written safety plans
- Responsible for overall construction success including
- Construction Teams are properly manned and supported
- Cost
- Schedule
- Overall responsibility for onsite client and contract personnel
- Promoting ICARE at all levels including contractors.
Design Phase Responsibilities
- Working with construction and construction contractor/vendor on planning overall construction effort
- Participating in design reviews include constructability, operability, and maintainability. Face-to-face field walkdown is a mandatory requirement with all parties present.
- Participating in VIP workshops as necessary
- Reviewing and approving construction portion of the estimate and schedule
- Liaising with Plant personnel to ensure proper communication and following Plant requirements
- Monitoring equipment deliveries and design progress to properly plan construction activities
Construction Phase Responsibilities
- Ensuring face-to-face field walkdowns are occurring and being attended for all work packages prior to execution of work.
- Overseeing construction effort
- Working with construction management to ensure timely resolution of issues
- Ensuring that the construction team understands the project objectives, scope, execution strategies, specifications, procedures, policies, and responsibilities
- Construction expenditure approvals as per DOA
- Trust but verify (QA/QC) that the project is constructed as per client and industry standards
- Follow client change management process
- Ensuring that auditable records and reports are properly documented and safely stored
- Scheduling periodic accounting audits of contractor charges
- Reviewing and approving weekly reports including overall project progress, specific craft progress, cost updates, and needs list
- Liaising with project engineer/manager to assist in design issues
- Giving periodic updates to Project Management Team and Business
