Project Construction Engineer

About the Role: Earth Reservoir for Oil & Gas (EROG) is seeking a highly motivated Project Construction Engineer to support the development of a new manufacturing facility in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and project delivery activities. The position will work closely with project stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and suppliers to ensure the project is executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved quality, schedule, and budget requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Act as the primary technical interface between project stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, technical submittals, and contractor deliverables.
- Monitor construction progress and verify compliance with project schedules and milestones.
- Participate in design reviews, constructability reviews, and technical coordination meetings.
- Identify, track, and resolve technical and construction-related issues.
- Review and evaluate contractor requests for information (RFIs), change orders, and variation requests.
- Conduct site inspections and monitor construction quality, safety, and progress.
- Coordinate equipment delivery, installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
- Prepare project reports, progress updates, meeting minutes, and technical documentation.
- Support project management in managing risks, schedules, budgets, and contractor performance.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, applicable regulations, and industry standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial construction, manufacturing facilities, oil & gas, infrastructure, or similar projects.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings, construction methods, project execution, and contractor management.
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Fluent in English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with greenfield industrial or manufacturing projects.
- Familiarity with project scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
- PMP certification is an advantage.
- Experience in industrial facilities, process equipment installation, utilities, and steel structures.
