Job summary

Hudson Manpower is seeking an experienced Construction Mechanical Engineer to oversee and coordinate mechanical construction for Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and Refinery projects in Saudi Arabia. The role ensures safe, efficient execution aligned with drawings, specs, schedules, quality standards, and client requirements.

The candidate will supervise installation activities, review technical documents, coordinate with multiple teams, and ensure site progress and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in Mechanical Construction.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate mechanical construction and installation activities at project sites.
• Ensure execution of mechanical works per approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project schedules.
• Coordinate with Construction Managers, Planning, Engineering, QA/QC, HSE, Procurement, and subcontractor teams.
• Monitor daily construction progress and ensure activities stay on schedule.
• Supervise mechanical installation activities including equipment installation, piping, valves, pumps, compressors, tanks, and related systems.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, material requirements, and construction documents.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and allocate manpower, equipment, and materials.
• Monitor site activities and resolve technical and construction-related issues with engineering teams.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, specifications, and client requirements.
• Coordinate with QA/QC for inspections, testing, and completion of works.
• Ensure strict adherence to HSE requirements, permit-to-work procedures, and site safety standards.
• Participate in site, progress, and coordination meetings with clients and contractors.
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly construction progress reports.
• Identify delays and coordinate with planning for corrective actions.
• Support pre-commissioning, commissioning, shutdown, turnaround, and maintenance activities as applicable.
• Ensure proper documentation, punch-list clearance, as-built information, and project handover.

• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in Mechanical Construction.

• Strong experience in Oil & Gas / Petrochemical / Refinery projects.

• Relevant Mechanical Engineering qualification.

• Strong hands-on experience in mechanical construction and site execution.

• Shutdown & Turnaround experience is highly preferred.

• Experience in equipment installation, piping, mechanical systems, and associated construction activities.

• Candidates with Saudi Arabia / GCC experience will be preferred.

• Good knowledge of construction procedures, specifications, drawings, and safety requirements.

• Strong coordination, supervision, and problem-solving skills.

• Good English communication and reporting skills.
