Job summary

Qiddiya Investment Company seeks an Assistant Manager – Cloud Operations to lead day-to-day Azure and GCP operations from its Riyadh base. You will drive reliability, governance, security, and cost optimization, working with security, service desk, vendors, and business stakeholders.

The role emphasizes SRE practices, incident response, automation, and runbook documentation to ensure resilient cloud services aligned with business needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in cloud operations or related roles.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and IT service management tools.
• Experience with automation and infrastructure as code tools.

Responsibilities

• Support daily cloud operations across Azure and GCP.
• Monitor health, capacity, incidents, and performance of cloud environments.
• Contribute to reliability and automation via SRE practices.
• Manage incident response, service requests, escalations, and root cause analysis.
• Support governance, tagging, and compliance controls for cloud resources.
• Review cost, usage, and optimization opportunities; rightsize resources.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to resolve issues.
• Assist with backup, disaster recovery, and high availability activities.
• Maintain runbooks, architecture diagrams, and knowledge base articles.
• Support security operations including IAM reviews, encryption, and access governance.
• Assist with Infrastructure as Code adoption (Terraform).
• Track KPIs: availability, incidents, SLA, cost, and documentation coverage.
