Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Experience as Chief Accountant or senior role in hospitality preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, reporting, reconciliations and internal controls.
• Knowledge of VAT, ZATCA requirements and related government platforms in Saudi Arabia.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting activities and ensure accuracy of financial records.
• Manage and support month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare and review financial reports, reconciliations, journal entries, and schedules.
• Review balance sheet accounts and ensure timely reconciliation.
• Monitor accounts payable, accounts receivable, income audit, and GL activities.
• Ensure compliance with hotel policies, internal controls, and procedures.
• Support budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis.
• Assist with audits and ensure documentation is accurate.
• Identify discrepancies and coordinate with departments for resolution.
• Support Director of Finance in maintaining strong financial controls.
• Guide Finance team in daily tasks and cross-department collaboration.

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Chief Accountant to join our Finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial records, supporting month-end closing, and maintaining strong financial controls in line with hotel standards and policies.

Responsibilities:

As a Chief Accountant, you will be responsible for:

• Overseeing daily accounting activities and ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions and records.
• Managing and supporting month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Preparing and reviewing financial reports, reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting schedules.
• Reviewing balance sheet accounts and ensuring timely reconciliation and clearance of outstanding items.
• Monitoring accounts payable, accounts receivable, income audit, and general ledger activities.
• Ensuring compliance with hotel financial policies, internal controls, and accounting procedures.
• Supporting the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis.
• Assisting with internal and external audits and ensuring all required documentation is accurate and available.
• Identifying discrepancies and following up with concerned departments to ensure timely resolution.
• Supporting the Director of Finance in maintaining effective financial controls across the hotel.
• Guiding and supporting Finance team members in their daily responsibilities.
• Working closely with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Previous experience as a Chief Accountant, Senior Accountant, or similar role, preferably within the hotel or hospitality industry.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, reconciliations, and internal controls.
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in VAT, ZATCA requirements, and dealing with relevant government authorities and platforms in Saudi Arabia.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting systems.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet reporting deadlines.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
