Job summary

RISE Holding seeks an experienced Chief Accountant to oversee the company's accounting operations and ensure accurate financial reporting and proper controls. You will manage day-to-day activities, monitor transactions, and prepare reports for timely management insight.

The role requires strong knowledge of accounting principles, reconcilations, and regulatory compliance, with leadership experience to supervise staff and coordinate with auditors and banks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CMA or equivalent is an advantage.
• Proven experience in accounting, with senior or supervisory exposure.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations including AP/AR,GL, and cash transactions.
• Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
• Monitor cash flow, bank balances, receivables, payables and other activities.
• Perform reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Review invoices, expenses and documentation for accuracy and authorization.
• Maintain organized accounting records per policies and regulations.
• Assist budgeting, forecasting, and cost control activities.
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants as required.
• Ensure compliance with standards, tax rules and local regulations.
• Monitor internal controls and recommend improvements.
• Provide management with financial analysis and information for decisions.
• Supervise accounting staff and ensure tasks are completed on schedule.

• Monitor cash flow, bank balances, receivables, payables, and other financial activities.
• Perform regular bank, ledger, and account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Review invoices, payments, expenses, and supporting documents for accuracy and proper authorization.
• Maintain accurate and organized accounting records in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and cost control activities.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, banks, and other financial institutions when required.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax requirements, and local financial regulations.
• Monitor internal financial controls and recommend improvements where necessary.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
• Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent is an advantage.
• Proven experience in accounting, with previous experience in a senior or supervisory accounting role preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, reconciliations, and internal controls.
• Good knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and numerical accuracy.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Able to manage deadlines, work independently, and handle confidential financial information professionally.
