Job summary

Rise Enterprise is seeking an experienced Chief Accountant to oversee the company's accounting operations and ensure accurate financial reporting and controls. You will manage day-to-day accounting activities, monitor transactions, and support management with timely financial information.

The role requires leadership of accounting staff, collaboration with auditors and banks, and ensuring compliance with local regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent is an advantage.
• Experience in a senior or supervisory accounting role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, reconciliations, and internal controls.
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
• Ability to manage deadlines and handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations including payables, receivables, GL, and cash.
• Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Monitor cash flow and bank balances.
• Perform reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Review invoices, expenses, and payments for accuracy.
• Maintain organized accounting records per policies and regulations.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and local regulations.
• Monitor internal controls and recommend improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and cash transactions.
• Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Monitor cash flow, bank balances, receivables, payables, and other financial activities.
• Perform regular bank, ledger, and account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Review invoices, payments, expenses, and supporting documents for accuracy and proper authorization.
• Maintain accurate and organized accounting records in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and cost control activities.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, banks, and other financial institutions when required.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax requirements, and local financial regulations.
• Monitor internal financial controls and recommend improvements where necessary.
• Provide management with financial analysis, reports, and information to support business decisions.

Key Qualifications
