• Post-qualification certification from North America, United Kingdom or Australia (ABMS/RCPS-C/CCST/FRACP).
• Basic medical degree from a recognized institution.

Responsibilities

• Provides high-quality patient care in Adult Heart Failure per approved clinical privileges.
• Provides inpatient and emergency consultations in a timely manner per hospital policy.
• Maintains medical records accurately and ensures timely on-call response.
• Conducts daily rounds and manages discharge planning to optimize patient flow.
• Provides orientation and supervision to interns, residents, and fellows; participates in educational activities.

Summary

Responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of medical diseases and conditions, as well as the provision of medical care in the field of Adult Heart Failure in accordance with the current medical staff bylaws, rules and regulations, and the Hospital’s policies and procedures.

Education / Qualification Required

1. Fellowship in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology is required
2. Post‑qualification certification
   • Qualification Source from: North America, United Kingdom or Australia:
     • USA: The American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS)
     • Canada: Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Certificate (RCPS‑C)
     • UK: GMC/CCST Specialist Register
     • Australia: Fellowship from the Royal College (FRACP)
3. Basic medical degree from recognized institution

Experience Post‑Qualifications

• Minimum seven (7) years after board/equivalence certification in USA, Canada, UK or Australia.

License

Current and in a Good Standing Medical License to practice in country of residence.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provides high-quality patient care in all aspects of Adult Heart Failure according to his/her approved clinical privileges.
• Provides consultation (inpatient, and emergency room) upon request and responds in a timely manner within the prescribed timeframe as outlined in the Hospital’s policy.
• Responsible for the timely completion, accuracy, and eligibility of the medical record.
• Provides on-call service and ensures availability and response time within the prescribed timeframe in accordance with Hospital’s policy.
• Conducts daily morning rounds to identify patients ready for discharge; ensures that discharge orders are written 24 hours prior to discharge.
• Performs any other clinical responsibilities related to Adult Heart Failure, as assigned.

Academic Responsibilities

• Provides orientation, bedside training, and supervision to interns, residents, and fellows as assigned.
• Participates in the Department’s educational activities and training programs. Partakes in national and international medical conferences.
• Maintains and enhances professional knowledge and continuing education requirements.

Research Responsibilities

• Participates in clinical, basic, and translational research projects in accordance with Research Advisory Council Policy in order to advance knowledge, improve the quality of postgraduate education, and contribute to the national and international recognition of the Hospital.

Administrative Responsibilities

• Undertakes the administrative duties assigned by the Head of Section or Chairman.
• Participates in all mandatory departmental activities and serves on Departmental and Hospital’s committees and other administrative functions, as required.
• Assists the department in the development and implementation of techniques and practices that help to maximize the utilization of all resources within the department and across the Hospital.
• Abides by the current Hospital’s and medical staff bylaws, all relevant rules, regulations, and policies, and keeps updated on any changes that might occur.
• Follows all Hospital-related policies and procedures.
• Participates in self‑and others’ education, training, and development as applicable.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
