Job summary

Crown Arabia Can Company Ltd is seeking a capable Backend Production Team Lead to supervise daily back-end operations, ensuring safe, high-quality output aligned with production targets.

You will oversee scheduling, troubleshooting, and ongoing training, while collaborating with maintenance and quality teams to sustain efficiency and continuous improvement across shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years in manufacturing production, preferably can/packaging.
• Strong supervision and team leadership abilities.
• Familiarity with quality control and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the back-end production team, including scheduling, task assignment, and performance monitoring.
• Ensure production processes meet quality standards and specifications for can manufacturing.
• Implement and enforce safety policies, conducting regular safety audits and addressing hazards promptly.
• Troubleshoot production issues and machine malfunctions, escalating to maintenance or engineering as needed.
• Train new team members on procedures, safety, and quality requirements.
• Monitor production metrics, analyze data, and report on team performance and output to management.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains and contribute to implementation.
• Maintain accurate production records including downtime, output, and quality checks.
• Collaborate with front-end production, maintenance, and quality assurance for smooth workflow.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing production, preferably in the can or packaging industry.
• At least 1-2 years of experience in a supervisory or team leader role.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot production equipment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team.
• Demonstrated understanding of quality control principles and safety regulations in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and production specifications.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required.
