Job summary

Crown Arabia Can Company Ltd is seeking a skilled Front End Washer Mechanic to maintain and troubleshoot specialized washing machinery in our can manufacturing facility. You will perform routine maintenance, diagnose issues, and repair washers, dryers, and conveyance systems to keep production running smoothly.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent, with 3–5 years of relevant maintenance experience in manufacturing.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or an associate's degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a maintenance mechanic, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience with maintenance and repair of industrial washing equipment or similar automated machinery.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting mechanical blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems and controls (e.g., sensors, motors, PLCs).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on washers, dryers, and associated conveyance systems.
  • Troubleshoot complex machinery malfunctions, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.
  • Execute scheduled and unscheduled repairs, including component replacement, alignment, and calibration.
  • Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints to aid in troubleshooting and repair activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory.
  • Collaborate with production teams to optimize machine performance and efficiency.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies, ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and training programs.
