Job summary

Siemens Energy, Inc. is hiring an Automation Engineer for our new switchgear factory in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. You will design, implement, and optimize PLC-SCADA systems, contributing to reliable automation and high uptime.

Applicants should hold a degree in Electrical or Automation Engineering and have hands-on Siemens software experience, with 3–5 years in industrial automation. On-site role with a strong team culture and MES integration opportunities.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, or related discipline.
3 to 5 years of professional experience in industrial automation and PLC/SCADA programming in a manufacturing/switchgear environment.
Proficiency in PLC programming (Siemens TIA Portal, S7-1200/1500) and SCADA/HMI (WinCC).
Strong knowledge of industrial networks (PROFINET/PROFIBUS/OPC UA) and troubleshooting.
Siemens Certified Automation Engineer or CAP certification preferred.
Experience in factory commissioning, testing, and documentation.

Responsibilities

Develop, program, and commission PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems for new switchgear lines.
Integrate industrial networks and protocols for seamless data flow across equipment.
Troubleshoot electrical and automation failures to minimize downtime.
Implement preventive and corrective maintenance for automated systems.
Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and drive improvements.
Collaborate with Operational Excellence to connect shop-floor automation with MES.
