I am currently partnering with a leading media agency in Riyadh that is looking to appoint an Associate Director - Media Planning to take ownership of a high-profile client portfolio. This is a senior leadership role within the planning function, suited to someone who can balance strategic thinking, commercial acumen and strong team leadership in a fast-evolving market.

The Role

As Associate Director, you will be responsible for leading integrated media strategy across a portfolio of major brands, overseeing a team of planners and managers, and acting as a senior point of contact for clients. You will drive strategic output, ensure planning excellence and play a key role in strengthening client relationships and identifying growth opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development of full-funnel, integrated media strategies across offline and digital
• Act as senior strategic lead across key accounts
• Oversee annual planning, budget allocation and phasing
• Drive performance reviews, optimisation and post-campaign analysis
• Present strategic recommendations to senior client stakeholders
• Manage, mentor and develop Media Managers and junior team members
• Ensure commercial targets and revenue growth across accounts
• Contribute to new business pitches and agency growth initiatives

What We Are Looking For

• 7-10 years of experience within a media planning agency
• Strong expertise across KSA media landscape including TV, OOH, digital and performance
• Proven experience managing senior client relationships
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Commercially aware with experience managing large-scale budgets
• Confident presenter with strong storytelling ability
• Arabic preferred depending on client portfolio
