Job summary

Independent Food Company in the UAE-based hospitality group invites an Assistant Restaurant Manager to support the Restaurant Manager in daily operations, ensuring exceptional service and food quality.

You will supervise front-of-house and back-of-house teams, train new staff, schedule shifts, assist with inventory and costing, handle cash, and help hit sales targets while stepping in during manager absences.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing daily restaurant operations.
• Supervise and motivate front-of-house and back-of-house staff.
• Schedule employee shifts and manage attendance.
• Train new employees and provide ongoing coaching.
• Ensure excellent customer service and promptly resolve customer complaints.
• Monitor food quality, cleanliness, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Assist with inventory management, ordering supplies, and controlling food and labor costs.
• Handle cash management, register balancing, and daily sales reports.
• Support hiring, onboarding, and employee performance evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and local regulations.
• Help achieve sales targets and improve operational efficiency.
• Step in for the Restaurant Manager during absences.
