Job summary

Morson Talent is seeking an experienced aircraft engineer to perform scheduled maintenance on RSAF Typhoon aircraft in Saudi Arabia. You will disassemble, clean, inspect and rectify as required while ensuring airworthiness per RSAF/DA publications and SMU QMS.

You will raise independent inspections and conduct vital inspections as needed. Responsibilities include daily inspections, documentation, and training coordination, with compliance to QA and safety procedures.

Qualifications

  • Completion of a recognised aircraft engineering trade apprenticeship.
  • NVQ/CG Level 3 in a relevant discipline or Part 66 license.
  • 7+ years post-qualification maintenance experience on operational aircraft.
  • Typhoon type training or Typhoon Q course.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out scheduled Weapons maintenance on RSAF Typhoon aircraft including disassembly, cleaning, inspection and minor rectification.
  • Maintain airworthiness by meeting RSAF/DA publications, M&CA mandates and SMU QMS.
  • Raise Independent inspections and conduct vital or mandatory inspections.
  • Perform daily inspections to meet the maintenance schedule.
  • Assist with housekeeping, FOD control and documentation.
  • Ensure authorisations are current for tasks and report training needs to Team Leader.
  • Comply with SMU Quality Systems and RSAF technical orders and publications.
  • Assist QA with investigations from customer inquiries and complaints.

Job description

  • £315 per day LTD
  • 48 hours a week - Sunday to Thursday
  • Overtime may be available at the normal day rate
  • Rates include shared accommodation and flights to/from the UK (related to job/visa)
Main Responsibilities
  • Carrying out scheduled, Weapons maintenance on RSAF Typhoon aircraft as detailed in the relevant scheduled maintenance. This work includes but is not limited to: disassembly, cleaning, inspection, minor rectification and supervision of personnel.
  • Maintain the technical quality and airworthiness of Typhoon aircraft by assuring individual inspection standards meet the requirement of the RSAF/DA approved technical publications, M&CA Mandates and the SMU QMS
  • Responsible for raising of Independent inspections, conducting Vital or Mandatory inspections as required inline with second signature responsibilities.
  • Perform the daily inspections required to meet and maintain the programmed schedule of maintenance.
  • Assist with work environment checks, housekeeping checks, cleanliness checks and FOD control.
  • Completes SMU forms, appropriate aircraft forms, records and maintenance documentation.
  • Ensures his authorisations are current for the tasks in hand.
  • Highlight to his Team Leader areas of his or others inexperience or training requirements needed to complete his or their daily tasks.
  • Complies with the requirements of the SMU Quality Systems and RSAF Technical orders and publications.
  • Assist the QA department with investigations arising from Customer enquiries and complaints.
  • Complete all mandated training, ensuring training validity dates remain current.
  • Complete any other reasonable duties or requests that are made by your line management.
Qualifications
  • Completion of a recognised aircraft engineering trade apprenticeship.
  • Qualified to NVQ/C&G Level 3 in a relevant technical discipline or a technical apprenticeship Or suitable equivalent technical qualification acceptable to M&CA. OR Part 66 Licensed (current or lapsed) OR suitable equivalent technical License acceptable to M&CA.
  • At least 7 years post qualification practical maintenance experience within operational flying aircraft environment supported by formal recorded workplace applied related training OR 3 years on same aircraft type
  • Relevant Type training or Typhoon Q course
  • Relevant equipment specific training.
  • Experience of working within a Typhoon aircraft maintenance organisation.
  • Good interpersonal communication and briefing skills.
  • English Language Proficeincy
