Job summary

Saudconsult in Riyadh is seeking an skilled Architectural CAD Draftsman to join our team to produce accurate architectural and shop drawings for buildings and construction projects, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and architectural details, using AutoCAD.

You will collaborate with architects to convert designs into precise digital drawings, ensuring compliance with Saudi Building Code (SBC) and municipal requirements, while coordinating with structural and MEP drawings and preparing

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in architectural drafting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare architectural and shop drawings for buildings using AutoCAD.
• Draft floor plans, elevations, and sections.
• Prepare architectural details and schedules for doors, windows, and finishes.
• Coordinate drawings with structural, electrical, and mechanical teams and resolve clashes.
• Update drawings based on review comments and site data.
• Produce As-Built drawings as required.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Architectural CAD Draftsman to join our team and prepare accurate architectural and shop drawings for buildings and construction projects, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and architectural details, using AutoCAD.

Role Overview

As an Architectural CAD Draftsman, you will work closely with architects to convert designs and preliminary sketches into accurate drawings that comply with approved specifications and codes. You will prepare architectural plans, elevations, sections, and finishing schedules, coordinate with structural and MEP drawings, issue as-built drawings after execution, and update drawings based on review comments from architects, consultants, and clients.

Requirements

• Diploma in Engineering Drafting, Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field, or equivalent with proven practical experience.
• 2 to 4 years of experience in architectural drafting.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Ability to read architectural and structural drawings and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of architectural symbols and door, window, and finishing details.
• High accuracy and ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work in a team and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare architectural and shop drawings for buildings and projects using AutoCAD.
• Draft floor plans, elevations, and sections.
• Prepare architectural details and door, window, and finishing schedules.
• Prepare ceiling, bathroom, and kitchen layouts.
• Coordinate architectural drawings with structural, electrical, and mechanical drawings and identify clashes.
• Convert hand sketches and preliminary designs into accurate digital drawings.
• Prepare As-Built drawings based on site data.
• Revise and update drawings based on feedback from engineers, consultants, and clients.
• Extract preliminary area and finishing quantities as required.
• Comply with approved codes and standards such as the Saudi Building Code (SBC) and municipality and Civil Defense requirements.
• Organize and archive drawings and files per the document control system.
