Job summary

Saudconsult is seeking an experienced Structural CAD Draftsman in Riyadh to convert designs into accurate structural drawings. You will prepare shop drawings for foundations, columns, beams, slabs, and rebar detailing while coordinating with architectural and MEP drawings and providing clear As-Built updates.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years in structural drafting, strong AutoCAD skills, and the ability to meet deadlines while working within SBC and client specifications.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Engineering Drafting, Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related field, or equivalent with proven practical experience.
• 2 to 4 years of experience in structural drafting.
• Ability to read structural and architectural drawings and technical specifications.
• Basic knowledge of rebar and reinforced concrete detailing.
• High accuracy and ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work in a team and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Prepare structural and shop drawings for buildings and construction projects using AutoCAD.
• Draft foundation, column, beam, slab, and concrete wall drawings.
• Prepare rebar detailing and bar bending schedules.
• Prepare steel structure drawings and connection details as required.
• Coordinate structural drawings with architectural and MEP drawings and identify clashes.
• Convert hand sketches and preliminary designs into accurate digital drawings.
• Prepare As-Built drawings based on site data.
• Revise and update drawings based on feedback from engineers, consultants, and clients.
• Extract preliminary concrete and steel quantities as required.
• Comply with approved codes and standards such as the Saudi Building Code (SBC) and government authority requirements.
• Organize and archive drawings and files per the document control system.

Role Overview

As a Structural CAD Draftsman, you will work closely with structural engineers to convert designs and preliminary sketches into accurate drawings that comply with approved specifications and codes.
