Job description

Aajil is a Saudi, Sharia-compliant B2B working-capital fintech for the industrial supply chain: contractors, traders, and manufacturers. Structured, Sharia-compliant purchasing on credit is still an unfamiliar category to the market we sell into. Our job is to make it feel obvious, relevant, and already overdue, in language our customers actually speak, not language borrowed from fintech.

What you'll do

Take a vague brand or campaign need and own it through to copy that's live and used, going to the ICP to understand how they actually talk before you write a word.

Turn a business goal (teach the category, own the growth moment, launch a campaign) into a clear brief for yourself: what to write, for whom, and what "sounds unmistakably Aajil" means for that piece.

Write it yourself, in native Saudi Arabic, across blogs, social captions, post-copy, paid social, outdoor, video and audio scripts, landing pages, and sales enablement.

Own it from brief to published: no handoff to someone else to "make it sound Saudi." You are the Saudi voice.

Hold the line on compliance without being told to. Every piece of copy needs to stay clear of interest-like language or unverified promises, even when a punchier line would break that.

Spot where the brand voice is drifting or generic before anyone flags it. Consistency across formats and volume is your job, not QA's.

What we're looking for

You write like a Saudi business owner talks, not like MSA translated from an English brief. If a line could run in any Gulf country, it's not done yet.

You can hold one voice across a 60-word caption and a 75-word script without either sounding like a different brand.

You think in customer reality before you think in headline. Handed an ICP, you find the one believable moment and write from inside it.

You catch your own compliance risk. You know what "Sharia-compliant" rules out in language before someone tells you.

You're built for volume, not boutique output. This is weekly production at pace, not two hero pieces a month.

Minimum qualifications

Native or near-native Saudi Arabic, spoken and written.

3+ years of copywriting with a portfolio of published Arabic work - social, campaign, or ad copy, not translation work.

Demonstrated B2B or business-audience writing, not purely consumer or lifestyle content.

Working English for internal collaboration (briefs, feedback, Slack), even though deliverables are Arabic-first.

Preferred qualifications

Fintech, financial services, B2B trade, or contracting/industrial sector experience.

Video or audio script experience, specifically hook structure and voiceover pacing.

Experience writing for Saudi audiences specifically, not broader MENA/Gulf generalist work.

What this role is not

Not a translation role. We don't write in English and convert; we write in Arabic from the customer's world outward.

Not brand strategy or positioning. Positioning is set; you execute it at a very high bar.

Not low-volume copywriting. Expect weekly deliverables, not occasional big pieces.

How you'll work

High ownership, low hand-holding. You'll work directly from ICPs and product facts, not a fully spelled-out creative brief handed to you.

Weekly cadence: 3+ blogs, 14-20 social/caption pieces, plus campaign work as it comes up (paid social, outdoor, video/audio, launches).

You'll work closely with me on brand tone calibration early, then increasingly independently as the voice locks in.

Before you apply

We've found that people tend to thrive here when they're comfortable moving without full certainty, prefer to sort things directly with colleagues rather than elevate, and want ownership from early on rather than a well-defined scope. If that sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you. If you're not sure, the Fine Print is worth reading first: aajil.sa/en/thefineprint
