Job summary

GDC Middle East is seeking an Airfield Management professional to support rotary wing operations in Saudi Arabia. The role involves daily airfield tasks, coordinating with aircrews and ATC, and ensuring safe and compliant flight procedures.

In this position, you will assist the Airfield Manager, perform inspections, prepare aviation reports, and handle flight planning information. Travel within KSA may be required to fulfill duties.

Qualifications

• Possesses general knowledge and experience in Airfield Management tasks specific in both a training and operational environment.
• Executes daily airfield management tasks in support of all operations of Rotary Wing Operations.
• Supports airfield operations and support activities to ensure safe and effective training and operations.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for assisting the Airfield Manager in the execution of airfield flight operations tasks and execution of all functions, activities, and flight operations procedures in support of rotary wing operations.
• Coordinates with aircrews, air traffic control, and various base agencies that provide for safe operation of aircraft in the airfield environment.
• Brief aircrews on local training and departure flight planning procedures.
• Compiles, prepares, and distributes correspondence, such as aviation operations reports, aviation safety reports and flight schedules.
• Performs daily airfield inspections and checks to include runways, taxiways, aprons, pavements, signs, lighting and airfield safety clearance zones.
• Procures, maintains, and produces information for safe airfield operations.
• Information includes flight plans, NOTAM, weather information.
• Monitor and operate various communications systems used for communication to coordinate with aircraft flight crews, emergency response crews, refuel, security forces, and ATC service providers.
• Review, interprets and enforce policies, instruction and directives pertaining to airfield operations.
• Manages flight line driving program to include operational procedures, training and certification requirements.
• Respond to and manage airfield aircraft emergency and accidents/incidents, and downed aircraft recovery mission
• Reports to the Senior Airfield Manager.
• Works within ICAO and GACA guidelines.
• Supervisory Responsibilities as assigned by the Airfield Manager.
• Travel within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia may be required in the performance of duties.

Responsible for supporting the safe operation, employment, maintenance, and flight procedures of rotary wing aircraft.
2. 2- Coordinates with aircrews, air traffic control, and various base agencies that provide for safe operation of aircraft in the airfield environment.
3. 3- Brief aircrews on local training and departure flight planning procedures.
4. 4- Compiles, prepares, and distributes correspondence, such as aviation operations reports, aviation safety reports and flight schedules.
5. 5- Performs daily airfield inspections and checks to include runways, taxiways, aprons, pavements, signs, lighting and airfield safety clearance zones.
6. 6- Procures, maintains, and produces information for safe airfield operations. Information includes flight plans, Flight Information Publications, aeronautical charts and maps, Notice to Airmen (NOTAM), local airfield and navigational aid status, and weather information.
7. 7- Monitor and operate various communications systems used for communication to coordinate with aircraft flight crews, emergency response crews, refuel, security forces, and air traffic control service providers.
8. 8- Review, interprets and enforce policies, instruction and directives pertaining to airfield operations.
9. 9- Manages flight line driving program to include operational procedures, training and certification requirements.
10. 10- Respond to and manage airfield aircraft emergency and accidents/incidents, and downed aircraft recovery mission
11. 11- Reports to the Senior Airfield Manager.
12. 12- Works within the rules and regulations of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and General Authority for Civil Aviation (GACA) guidelines.
13. 13- Supervisory Responsibilities as assigned by the Airfield Manager.
14. 14- Travel within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia may be required in the performance of duties.
