Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Manage full accounts receivable cycle including billing, invoicing, collections, and reconciliations.
  • Prepare and issue tuition fees and other income invoices using billing systems and contracts.
  • Support administration of payment platforms and process collections.
  • Apply discounts and maintain documentation and item codes.
  • Manage AR ageing, send reminders, and handle collections and suspensions as per policies.
  • Assist with month-end closing, AR schedules, and control account reporting.

Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised AccountsReceivable Executive to join our Finance team. The successful candidatewill be responsible for managing the full accounts receivable cycle, ensuringaccurate and timely billing, effective credit control and collections,excellent customer service, and compliance with internal financial controls andregulatory requirements.

This role will play an important part in maintainingaccurate financial records and supporting smooth month-end closing and auditprocesses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the full accounts receivable cycle, including billing, invoicing, collections, reconciliations, and reporting.
  • Prepare and issue tuition fee and other income invoices using relevant billing systems, price books, contracts, and sales orders.
  • Support the administration of Zenda and manage non-Zenda and miscellaneous payment collections.
  • Apply approved discounts and maintain accurate supporting documentation and item codes for relevant activities.
  • Manage AR ageing, follow up overdue accounts, issue reminders, and manage collections and account suspensions in line with school policies.
  • Process refunds and respond professionally to payment and account queries from parents and other stakeholders.
  • Perform daily banking activities, including cash and cheque deposits, and complete timely bank and control account reconciliations.
  • Manage petty cash, staff advances, journal vouchers, and related reconciliations.
  • Support month-end closing by preparing AR schedules, reconciliations, control account reports, and other income reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, ministry requirements, tax regulations, and audit requirements.
  • Maintain and update relevant ministry and tax records and support internal and external audit requests.
  • Provide high-quality customer service to parents, staff, and internal stakeholders via email, telephone, and walk-in enquiries.
  • Maintain accurate financial records while demonstrating a high level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
Candidate Profile
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional certification such as ACCA, CMA, CPA, or equivalent is preferred but not essential.
  • Proficiency in ERP and finance systems, such as NetSuite, NSPB Planning, or similar platforms.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Experience
  • 2–5 years of experience in Accounts Receivable or Finance Operations.
  • Strong understanding of accounts receivable processes, billing systems, credit control, collections, and reconciliations.
  • Experience within the education sector or school finance environment would be an advantage.
  • Experience using ERP and finance systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.
