Qualifications

• Diploma or Technical Certificate in HVAC, Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, or Mechanical Engineering.
• 2–3 years of experience as an A/C Technician, preferably in hospitality.
• HVAC/Refrigeration certification preferred.
• Knowledge of chilled water systems, VRF/VRV systems, and refrigeration equipment.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Basic computer skills for maintenance systems (CMMS) are an advantage.

Job Summary

The A/C Technician is responsible for the installation, inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), and refrigeration systems throughout the hotel. The role ensures that all guest rooms, public areas, restaurants, kitchens, and back-of-house facilities operate efficiently while maintaining guest comfort, safety, and energy efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair air conditioning systems, chillers, FCUs, AHUs, split units, package units, ventilation systems, and exhaust fans.
• Maintain refrigeration equipment, including walk-in coolers, freezers, ice machines, and cold rooms.
• Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests related to air conditioning and ventilation.
• Monitor HVAC system performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
• Replace filters, belts, motors, thermostats, valves, bearings, and other HVAC components as required.
• Monitor refrigerant levels and repair refrigerant leaks in accordance with environmental regulations.
• Perform daily inspections of mechanical plant rooms and equipment.
• Maintain accurate preventive maintenance records and work orders using the hotel's maintenance system.
• Support energy conservation initiatives and ensure equipment operates efficiently.
• Coordinate with contractors during major maintenance or renovation works.
• Maintain engineering tools and equipment in a safe and organized condition.
• Ensure compliance with hotel policies, health and safety regulations, and fire life safety procedures.
• Assist Other Engineering Team Members When Required.
• Participate in emergency maintenance and on-call duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Technical Certificate in HVAC, Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience as an A/C Technician, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
• Valid HVAC/Refrigeration certification is preferred.
• Knowledge of chilled water systems, VRF/VRV systems, split units, FCUs, AHUs, package units, and refrigeration equipment.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Basic computer skills for maintenance management systems (CMMS) are an advantage.
