Job description

We are seeking a qualified HVAC Technician to replace the current position in our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting ongoing engineering projects, overseeing the maintenance and operation of HVAC systems, and managing a team of technicians when necessary. This role requires strong technical expertise in HVAC systems, with a focus on ensuring high-quality maintenance, performance, and compliance with safety and operational standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement work plans for HVAC maintenance, ensuring all tasks are completed in accordance with established procedures and standards.
• Follow up on procedures to determine the type and nature of maintenance required, estimating material quantities and costs.
• Distribute tasks among the maintenance team members based on their capabilities, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and effectively, and evaluating their performance.
• Prepare and implement preventive maintenance programs, monitoring HVAC equipment performance to ensure optimal functionality.
• Carry out corrective and preventive maintenance tasks, including testing, dismantling, assembling, and installing HVAC equipment.
• Diagnose malfunctions in HVAC systems, identify the causes, and specify the required materials, tools, and spare parts for repairs.
• Perform regular inspections of HVAC equipment, ensuring all tests and calibrations are completed as necessary.
• Knowledge of chilled water systems, air-side units, split units, package units, and ventilation systems.
• Conduct necessary modifications to install alternative spare parts and ensure continued functionality.
• Test and diagnose compressors, pumps, fans, blowers, motors, and power lines to ensure operational efficiency.
• Understand and work with electrical circuits and their symbols in HVAC systems.
• Prepare detailed reports, technical data, and documentation of preventive maintenance activities.
• Classify, arrange, and archive work results and maintenance reports for future reference.
• Follow all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures while performing maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

• Diploma in a related field, or equivalent.
• At least five years of experience in HVAC maintenance or a related field.
• Proficiency in both spoken and written English.
• Strong ability to write technical reports and document maintenance activities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
