Job summary

Kimpton KAFD Riyadh is seeking an HVAC Technician to join our Engineering team. You will inspect, maintain and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems across the hotel, while performing preventive maintenance to keep equipment efficient and minimizing disruptions to guests.

You will respond to maintenance requests in guest rooms and public areas, monitor HVAC performance, and report issues for corrective action. English proficiency is required with Arabic being a plus.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Vocational cert in HVAC, Mechanical Eng, or related field.
• 2+ years in HVAC maintenance in hospitality or facilities management.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC/R and Building Management Systems (BMS).
• Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC equipment.
• Familiarity with local health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Hotel experience preferred.
• HVAC certification or license where required by law.

Every day is different, but you'll mostly be:

• Inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing HVAC and refrigeration systems throughout the hotel


• Performing preventive maintenance to ensure equipment operates efficiently and minimise unexpected breakdowns


• Responding promptly to guest room and public area maintenance requests related to air conditioning and ventilation systems


• Monitoring the performance of HVAC equipment and reporting any issues requiring corrective action


• Following all health, safety, and environmental procedures while supporting the hotel's sustainability initiatives through efficient energy usage


• Assisting the Engineering team with general maintenance tasks as required and maintaining accurate maintenance records


• Working closely with colleagues, contractors, and suppliers to ensure all engineering work is completed safely and to the highest standard

What We Need from You:

• Diploma or vocational certification in HVAC, Mechanical Engineering, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration, or a related technical field


• Minimum of two years' experience in HVAC maintenance, preferably within the hospitality, commercial, or facilities management industry


• Strong knowledge of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and building management systems (BMS)


• Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC equipment, including split units, AHUs, FCUs, chillers, ventilation, and refrigeration systems


• Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and safe handling of HVAC tools, equipment, and refrigerants


• Familiarity with local health, safety, and environmental regulations


• Hotel experience is preferred


• Relevant HVAC certification or trade licence, where required by law


• Good command of written and spoken English; Arabic is an advantage
