A leading heavy industry company in Qatar is seeking an HSE Manager to lead Health, Safety & Environment compliance and promote a safe workplace with zero accidents. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the heavy industry sector, managerial skills, and relevant professional certifications.
Lead, advise, support and promote Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) management, alongside with providing awareness, measuring and ensuring compliance with internal/ external policies and regulatory requirements to ensure a safe workplace with targeting 0% accident in the Plant and connected accommodations and Offices.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in related Engineering field.
• Minimum 15 years experiences in the Health, Safety and Environment field with heavy industry (oil & gas, steel, cement, ready mix) or construction field experience and 5 years in the Managerial level.
• In depth knowledge of IOSH, NEBOSH, OSHA international HSE codes and standards.
• Professional HSE certifications such as IOSH, NEBOSH and/or accreditations from local and internationally recognized Health and Safety Standards organizations.
• Audit qualification background and inspection experience with ISO/IOHS/NEBOSH Standards.
• Excellent managerial and interpersonal skills to lead the HSE team and to work in cooperation with the related technical and non-technical Departments.
• Excellent training skills to deliver safety training and orientation for the new and the existing staff.
• IOSH and/or accredited occupational associations membership would be asset.
