Job summary

Black Pearl Consult in Doha, Qatar is seeking a skilled Workshop Controller to manage technicians, plan workloads and coordinate with the Service Department to ensure smooth workshop operations. The role emphasizes leadership, process optimization and timely, safe repairs.

The ideal candidate will have a degree or diploma in engineering/operations, at least 3 years in a commercial vehicle workshop, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in engineering/operations or workflow management.
• Experience in a commercial vehicle workshop is preferred.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in the same field.
• Energetic and self-motivated leader with strong people management and workshop operations knowledge.
• Fluent English; knowledge of another language is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Assist management in implementing and maintaining effective processes to achieve high customer satisfaction levels.
• Create parameters for job activities/“Standard Repair/Operating Time” for jobs.
• Distribute and control work to Technicians to maximize quality and efficiency.
• Lead, motivate and develop the team to achieve daily objectives.
• Maintain a strong relationship with the parts department to maximize parts availability.
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of all job card write-ups and incident reports.
• Maintain a safe working environment in line with HSE policy and keep housekeeping at a high standard.
• Uphold the highest ethical standards.
