Job summary

Qatar Airways Cargo is seeking a Cargo Inventory Analytics Specialist in Doha. You will support inventory controls across the QR network, balancing allotment and free-sale capacity, and optimizing revenue through data-driven strategies.

The role requires handling seasonal capacity, RFQ/allocations parameters, and communicating initiatives to stakeholders. Strong data analysis skills and experience with Python/R are essential, with Air Cargo domain experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with minimum 4 years of job-related experience.
• Experience with data modelling tools and large data analysis.
• Strong grasp of statistical concepts (e.g., regression, hypothesis testing, distributions).
• Ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Knowledge of machine learning algorithms, optimization models, simulation and model evaluation is preferred.
• Previous experience in the Air Cargo domain is preferred.
• Proficiency with data modelling tools (such as R and Python).

Responsibilities

• Analyze and implement optimal allocation capacity across the QR cargo network.
• Set commercial entry parameters for RFQs and allocations.
• Adjust entry requirements for ad-hoc demand to maximize revenue.
• Develop initiatives to improve inventory controls via data analysis and optimization models.
• Communicate inventory control initiatives to regional stakeholders and RM team.
• Propose improvements to inventory control in team meetings.
• Define seasonal impact of payload limitations and set capacity controls.
