Job summary

C-Quest International in Doha, Qatar, is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead cost management for large-scale mixed-use projects. You will oversee budget control, cost reporting, procurement, and contract administration with clients, consultants, and contractors.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in cost consultancy, a Bachelor’s in Quantity Surveying, MRICS or equivalent desirable, and strong experience with FIDIC contracts and post-contract change management.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in cost consultancy for large-scale projects.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying and MRICS or equivalent desirable.
• Experience with pre & post-contract management on mixed-use developments.

Responsibilities

• Manage project cost, budget and cost reports to ensure alignment with approved budgets.
• Oversee procurement documents, tendering processes and contractor selection per project objectives.
• Implement and manage FIDIC contracts, review conditions, and handle variations and claims.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials and labour across project stages.
• Maintain accurate financial records and periodic senior management reports.
• Assess and negotiate changes/variations and manage impact on budget and schedule.
• Identify financial risks and provide mitigation strategies to minimize overruns.
• Contribute to value engineering while maintaining quality and standards.
• Maintain strong client/contractor relations and advise on cost matters.
