Job summary

UrbaCon Contracting & Trading Company in Qatar is seeking an Onboarding Officer to coordinate activities from candidate acceptance to the start date, ensuring a warm, smooth onboarding and accurate enrollment into the new system.

You will prepare paperwork, share job and company details, arrange initial days, manage communications with new hires, support integration with teams, gather feedback, and drive process improvements while ensuring compliance with HR policies and SAP ERP HR practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR or business administration; relevant certifications beneficial.
• Minimum 5 years of onboarding or HR experience; GCC experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of HR policies, privacy and employment laws.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; stakeholder management.
• Experience with SAP HR modules or SAP ERP HR is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement onboarding programs for new hires, ensuring smooth transition and alignment with policies.
• Conduct orientations and onboarding sessions to acquaint new hires with company structure, policies and benefits.
• Manage new hire paperwork and contracts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal requirements.
• Communicate key information to new hires before start dates (parking, dress code, first-day expectations).
• Coordinate team introductions, meetings and social events to foster engagement.
• Gather feedback from new hires and managers to improve the onboarding process.
• Provide ongoing support during initial weeks and address questions and concerns.
• Continuously refine onboarding processes based on feedback and needs.
