Job summary

GMG is seeking a Store Manager in Doha to lead store operations, drive sales and ensure exceptional customer service. You will manage staff, merchandising, inventory and loss prevention while upholding GMG standards across brand and store processes.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years in retail with at least 3 years in a supervisory role, a Bachelor's degree, and strong English skills; Arabic is a plus. This role offers a dynamic environment in a growing regional retail network.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–7 years of relevant industry experience with at least 3 years in a supervisory role in retail operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
• Product/Category knowledge.
• Customer orientation.
• MS Office and tools.
• Fluent English (written and spoken).
• Arabic skills in an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Communicates store targets to the team and drives sales to achieve financial objectives.
• Maintains proper loss prevention standards and ensures cash handling compliance.
• Oversees POS activities: sales transactions, orders, payments, refunds, and inventory updates.
• Oversees cash transaction entry and management.
• Regularly audits store administration and conducts stock counts and spot checks.
• Monitors customer complaints and responds in line with policy.
• Tracks brand sales performance and market trends to identify factors impacting sales and profitability.
• Monitors sales reports and provides insights to maximize stock potential.
• Maintains window and in-store displays to a high merchandising standard.
• Oversees store inventory management and stock movement.
• Coordinates with facilities on repairs or replacements of furniture or equipment; supports asset life.
• Maintains staffing levels and prepares schedules for shift coverage.
• Ensures season peaks and promotions are accounted for in forecasts and rosters.
• Trains team in inventory management techniques.
