Job summary

St. Regis Hotels & Resorts in Doha, West Bay, Qatar, is seeking an experienced kitchen leader responsible for the daily operations of the luxury hotel’s kitchen.

You will personally prepare dishes while guiding staff, managing food functions, and ensuring high-quality production within budget. You will supervise all kitchen areas, develop staff, and maintain sanitation and food safety standards to deliver a superior guest experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 2-year degree from an accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major.

Responsibilities

• Manages kitchen shift operations and ensures compliance with F&B policies and standards.
• Estimates daily production needs and communicates with kitchen staff.
• Assists Executive Chef with operations and preparation.
• Prepares and cooks foods of all types as required.
• Develops new applications, ideas, and decorative food displays.
• Maintains purchasing, receiving and food storage standards.
• Ensures sanitation and food handling standards are met.
• Supervises cooks and workers in food preparation and service.
• Leads shifts, demonstrates leadership, and ensures guest satisfaction.
• Maintains productivity and communicates expectations clearly.
• Trains staff in safety procedures and process improvements.
• Attends pertinent meetings and provides information to supervisors.

Education
