Wyndham Grand Doha West Bay Beach is seeking a Commis Pastry Chef to assist in daily pastry production, presentation, and quality control. You will work under the Chef de Partie and senior pastry team, applying pastry techniques with precision and ensuring food safety and efficiency.

The role requires knowledge of standard recipes, portioning, and buffet/pastry display support. A fast-paced kitchen environment and collaboration with the pastry team are essential for delivering consistent dessert

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a pastry kitchen, bakery, hotel, or restaurant.
• Experience as Commis Pastry Chef or similar pastry production role preferred.
• Basic to good knowledge of pastry and bakery techniques, including cakes, creams, fillings, doughs, tarts, and desserts.
• Experience following standard recipes, portioning guidelines, and food safety procedures.
• Basic knowledge of HACCP, food hygiene, proper storage, and stock rotation.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and process ingredients for pastries, desserts, cakes, breads, and other bakery products.
• Bake, finish, and quality-check pastries and desserts to standards.
• Perform mise en place and organize workstation for efficient workflow.
• Maintain hygiene, HACCP compliance, and food safety throughout production.
• Collaborate with pastry team and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.
• Control costs, minimize waste, and manage stock rotation.
