Job summary

St. Regis Hotels & Resorts in Doha is seeking a Non-Management, Full Time Baker/Pastry Cook to prepare breads and pastries, review production sheets, and ensure quality and safety standards are met.

You will assist with hiring, training, and mentoring kitchen staff, while maintaining strict hygiene and safety practices in a fast-paced environment. The role requires 2+ years of related experience and a Technical/Trade/Vocational schooling background.

Qualifications

• Education: Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree.
• Related Work Experience: At least 2 years of related work experience.
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.
• License or Certification: None

Responsibilities

• Prepare breads and pastries according to recipes, quality and presentation standards.
• Review Production sheet to understand variety of baked goods to be produced daily.
• Maintain kitchen logs for food safety program compliance.
• Follow and ensure compliance with food safety handling policies and procedures.
• Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating employees; mentor as needed.
• Move, lift, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods; work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
