Job summary

BAE Systems Strategic Aerospace Services WLL in Dukhan, Qatar, seeks a Maintenance Support Engineer to optimise Maintenance Tasking & Verification across strategic and tactical levels. The role requires strong data analysis, Lean principles, and effective communication to maximise operational efficiency while controlling costs.

The successful candidate will develop and maintain work packages, plan emergent maintenance, and coordinate with Fleet Planning, Demand Management, and external suppliers

Qualifications

• Minimum of a recognised qualification to NVQ3/ONC level in a relevant Data Management or Technical discipline, or Part 66 Category A qualified, or suitable equivalent.
• Recent in-depth experience within a Maintenance & Support environment, including direct experience of supporting or maintaining fleets of aircraft and the associated Continuing Airworthiness Records.
• Demonstrate an understanding of reliability programmes and the impact of their findings on the operator maintenance programme.
• Demonstrate a good understanding of data integrity with respect to fleet planning and maintenance tasking & verification.
• Provide direction and advice to the data integrity teams on records related issues, addressing individual aircraft or components and fleet-wide issues.

Responsibilities

• Analyse maintenance requirements for specific aircraft or components and ensure timely creation of the Statement of Work (SoW).
• Develop and maintain work packages, including technical instructions, resource and materiel requirements for maintenance activity.
• Plan additional and emergent work during maintenance to manage workload against schedule requirements and update SoW accordingly.
• Collaborate with Fleet Planning, Demand Management, Part 145, Technical Services, and suppliers to maintain continuing airworthiness and contract delivery.
• Review the effectiveness of maintenance task performance and SoW processes, escalate trends, and support improvements.
