Job summary

BSL is seeking an IMS Maintenance Support Engineer who will use subject matter knowledge to support Maintenance Tasking & Verification at strategic and tactical levels, to maximise operational efficiency and minimise costs. The Post Holder should have strong analytical skills, Lean understanding, and be an effective communicator with good interpersonal skills.

They require product knowledge and an understanding of interfacing areas and data integrity.

Qualifications

• Qualified to NVQ3/ONC or Part 66 Cat A or equivalent.
• Experience in Maintenance & Support environment with fleets and continuing airworthiness records.
• Understanding of reliability programmes and impact on maintenance programme.
• Good understanding of data integrity in fleet planning and tasking.
• Ability to provide direction to data integrity teams on records issues.
• Human factors and E&PW course.
• UK Driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Analyse maintenance requirements against the Fleet plan and SoW; create and maintain the SoW and work packages.
• Develop and maintain work packages, including technical instructions, resources and materials; ensure safety-critical tasks are identified.
• Plan emergent work to balance workload with schedule; update and re-authorise SoW as needed.
• Collaborate with Fleet Planning, Demand Management, Part 145, Technical Services, Airworthiness Records and suppliers to meet continuing airworthiness standards.
• Review maintenance task performance and escalate trends; assess SoW, PIRM & PORM processes across locations.
• Evaluate customer requirement changes for impact on Maintenance Tasking & Verification activities and regulatory compliance.
• Verify maintenance activity against the certificate of maintenance and ensure proper authorisation and deferral where appropriate.
