Fuels Asset Maintenance Technician

Job summary

Amentum is seeking a FHE Technician in Qatar to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on Fuels assets in accordance with USAF publications and the PWS. You will inspect, repair, and calibrate fuel systems, rebuild components, and document work orders while complying with QMS requirements.

The role requires hands-on mechanical and electrical skills, the ability to work in a dynamic environment, and willingness to TDY as directed. Domestic and international travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Excellent organizational skills and English proficiency (read, write) at beginner level.
• Ability to interpret technical publications and maintenance instructions.
• Must be able to travel domestically and internationally.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of two years hands-on pumping systems, gasoline and diesel engines experience.
• Must possess valid home country driver’s license and ability to obtain host nation license.

Responsibilities

• Retrieves inbound equipment and inspects status.
• Performs visual inspections and functional checks.
• Rebuilds engines, fuel nozzles and fuel/air valves.
• Calibrates gauges and meters; documents time sheets/work orders.
• Performs corrosion control and cleaning; applies preservation materials.
