Job summary

Client of Brunel seeks a senior Offshore Pre-Commissioning & Commissioning Specialist to oversee Brownfield offshore activities, verify contractor test sheets, and ensure safe handover to permanent assets. You will coordinate punch lists, verify documentation, and maintain HSE compliance while meeting deadlines in a demanding oil & gas environment.

Role requires 8+ years in large-project commissioning, supervisory exposure, and fluency in English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Applied Sciences.
• 8+ years of large-project commissioning experience in Oil & Gas.
• 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Knowledge of completion certificate types.
• Strong decision making and prioritization under pressure.
• Experience with CMS databases (PIMS, WinPCS, ICAPS, Hexagon) or similar.
• Familiarity with QA/QC, and Operations interfaces.
• Excellent organizational, reporting, and communication skills.
• Fluent English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up experience on major Oil & Gas projects.

Responsibilities

• Witness contractors scope of work and validate test and check sheets.
• Oversee offshore pre-commissioning and commissioning execution activities and ensure safety and compliance.
• Verify completeness of contractor completion dossiers for MC, pre-commissioning and commissioning through to handover.
• Monitor preservation activities and ensure project requirements are met.
• Coordinate capture and share lessons learned for project LL register.
• Monitor progress and status of subsystems using the completion management system and ensure timely handovers.
• Oversee and control all MC, pre-commissioning, CSA and commissioning documentation.

Witness contractors scope of work and validate test and check sheets in accordance with project requirements Follow-up construction activities and progress during pre-shutdown and shutdown of the Brownfield WHPs amp RTs Oversee Brownfield offshore Pre-Commissioning amp Commissioning execution activities and ensure their safety and compliant Follow-up punch list creation categorization and clearance via weekly meeting with Contractor Verify the completeness of CONTRACTOR s completion dossiers for mechanical completion pre-commissioning and commissioning through to handover to permanent asset Monitor and verify Contractor s preservation activities and ensure it meets project requirements Coordinate capture and share SC Lessons Learned LL for inclusion in the project lessons learned register Monitor progress and status of subsystems using the completion management system and ensure timely handovers Oversee and control all mechanical completion MC pre-commissioning CSA and commissioning documentation

Requirements

RFSU Bachelors Degree in Applied Sciences or Engineering8 years' experience with large-project commissioning in the Oil & Gas Industry, including 1 year of experience in a supervisory role, including acting roles, or oversight of service/vendor personnel.Strong knowledge and understanding of Completion certificate typesStrong decision making and prioritization skills under pressure technical, analytical, and interface skills.Strong knowledge and understanding of punch list categorizationExperience using Completion Management Systems (CMS) databases such as PIMS, WinPCS, ICAPS, Hexagon or similar.Familiarity with construction, QA/QC, and Operations interfaces.Excellent organizational, reporting, and communication skills.Strong understanding of HSE standards and safe system handover practices.A strong commitment to safety protocols and procedures of offshore site environment.Effective coordination with all parties involved and reporting skills.Strong organizational and technical judgment skillsAbility to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in prioritiesExcellent communication skills to read, write, and speak fluent EnglishHave pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up experience as a commissioning performer on major Oil & Gas projects.
