Job summary

Airswift is seeking a Commissioning Lead (Offshore Electrical) for offshore assignments in Qatar. The role involves 28:28 rotation, 12-hour shifts, and a 36-month project duration.

Responsibilities include supervising commissioning activities, validating test sheets, managing punch lists, and ensuring safety and compliance across brownfield offshore facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Applied Sciences or Engineering.
• 8 years experience with large-project commissioning in Oil & Gas.
• 1 year supervisory experience or oversight of personnel.
• Strong knowledge of Completion certificate types.
• Knowledge of punch list categorization.
• Experience using CMS databases (PIMS/WinPCS/ICAPS/Hexagon).
• Familiarity with construction QA/QC and Operations interfaces.
• Pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up on major Oil & Gas projects.

Responsibilities

• Witness contractors’ scope of work and validate test/check sheets per project requirements.
• Follow-up construction activities and progress during Pre-shutdown and shutdown of Brownfield facilities.
• Oversee Brownfield offshore Pre-Commissioning & Commissioning execution and ensure safety and compliance.
• Follow-up punch list creation, categorisation and clearance via weekly meetings with contractor.
• Verify completion dossiers for mechanical completion, pre-commissioning, and commissioning through handover to permanent asset.
• Monitor and verify preservation activities and ensure they meet project requirements.
• Coordinate, capture, and share SC Lessons Learned for the project lessons learned register.
• Monitor progress of subsystems using the completion management system and ensure timely handovers.
• Oversee and control MC, CSA, and RFSU documentation.

Assignment Details Location: Offshore in Qatar Work schedule: 12-hour shifts, 7 days per week Rotation: 28 days on / 28 days off (28:28), paid only for the days you work. Project duration: 36 months

Key Job Accountabilities

Witness contractors’ scope of work and validate test and check sheets in accordance with project requirements. Follow-up construction activities and progress during Pre-shutdown and shutdown of Brownfield facilities. Oversee Brownfield offshore Pre-Commissioning & Commissioning execution activities and ensure their safety and compliant. Follow-up punch list creation, categorisation and clearance via weekly meeting with contractor. Verify the completness of EPC CONTRACTOR’s completion dossiers for mechanical completion, pre-commissioning, and commissioning through to handover to permanent asset. Monitor and verify EPC Contractor’s preservation activities and ensure it meet project requirements. Coordinate, capture, and share SC Lessons Learned (LL) for inclusion in the project lessons learned register. Monitor progress and status of subsystems using the completion management system and ensure timely handovers. Oversee and control all mechanical completion (MC), pre-commissioning (CSA), and commissioning documentation (RFSU).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Sciences or Engineering.
• 8 years experience with large-project commissioning in the Oil & Gas Industry, including 1 year of experience in a supervisory role, including acting roles, or oversight of service/vendor personnel.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of Completion certificate types.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of punch list categorization.
• Experience using Completion Management Systems (CMS) database such as PIMS, WinPCS, ICAPS, Hexagon or similar.
• Familiarity with construction, QA/QC, and Operations interfaces..
• Have pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up experience as a commissioning performer on major Oil & Gas projects.
