Job summary

Confidential Careers is seeking an experienced Head of Procurement in Qatar to lead strategic sourcing, supplier management, and cost optimization. You will establish governance frameworks, oversee contracts with Legal, and drive digitalization to enhance efficiency and transparency.

Senior leadership will own procurement budgeting, risk management, and performance improvement initiatives, while developing a high-performing procurement team aligned with policy and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, or related field.
• Postgraduate qualification or professional certification (CIPS) is an advantage.
• Extensive leadership experience in procurement and commercial negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement strategy, policies, and procedures aligned with budgets.
• Oversee end-to-end procurement activities: sourcing, RFIs/RFPs/RFQs, tender evaluations.
• Manage supplier relationships, negotiate terms, monitor performance.
• Coordinate contracts with Legal and ensure compliance with policies.
• Manage procurement budgeting, cost optimization, and governance frameworks.
• Oversee inventory management and procurement records for efficiency.
• Develop the procurement team and establish performance objectives.
• Drive governance, risk mitigation, and internal controls in procurement.
• Lead continuous improvement, digitalization, and KPI reporting.
