Job summary

Qatar Airways is seeking a Senior Manager Procurement in Doha to lead the Technical Strategic Procurement Department, driving long-term sourcing strategies and ensuring cost efficiency, compliance, and value creation across major technical and capital projects.

You will coordinate RFPs, contract management, supplier performance, and risk mitigation while aligning procurement initiatives with operational strategy and governance standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years in procurement with at least 5 years in aviation.
• Experience managing procurement for complex technical projects and contracts.
• Commercial and financial acumen with whole life costing experience.
• Strong project/change management and procurement process optimization.
• Deep expertise in Procurement & Contracts Management and regulatory knowledge (SB’s, STC’s, EUU’s).

Responsibilities

• Lead the Procurement Team, aligning practices with strategic goals and long-term business objectives.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies to enhance cost-effectiveness, compliance, and service delivery.
• Shape and implement best-in-class procurement operating models and processes across functions.
• Provide actionable insights and data-backed recommendations to optimize procurement and contracting operations.
• Lead contract negotiation and performance tracking.
• Ensure full regulatory compliance and governance of procurement activities.
• Engage cross-functionally with internal stakeholders, technical leads, and finance.
• Supervise and mentor the procurement team to high delivery and reporting standards.
• Identify and drive initiatives to streamline procurement processes and systems.
