Job summary

Qatar National Import and Export Co. is seeking a Procurement Officer to lead sourcing, negotiation, and purchasing for General Trading, Facilities Management, Catering, and Office Operations in Doha.

The role emphasizes achieving cost savings while maintaining top quality and service standards. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years in procurement, strong negotiation and supplier-management skills, and experience across GCC/Qatar markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Commerce, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of procurement experience.
• Experience in General Trading, Facilities Management, Hospitality, Catering, Construction, or Industrial Procurement is preferred.
• Previous GCC/Qatar experience will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Managing the end-to-end procurement process from purchase requisition to delivery.
• Sourcing reliable local and international suppliers for goods and services.
• Obtaining competitive quotations and preparing comparative analysis for management approval.
• Negotiating prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, warranties, and service agreements.
• Issuing Purchase Orders (POs) and monitoring supplier performance to ensure timely delivery.
• Procuring materials for General Trading, Facilities Management, Catering, and Office Operations.
• Coordinating with internal departments to understand procurement requirements and operational priorities.
• Monitoring inventory levels and ensuring timely replenishment of stock.
• Maintaining accurate procurement records, supplier databases, contracts, and documentation.
• Evaluating supplier performance and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Ensuring compliance with company procurement policies, budgets, and quality standards.
• Identifying cost-saving opportunities through strategic sourcing and effective negotiations.
