Job summary

Qatar Navigation is seeking a Senior Specialist – Category Manager to lead procurement activities in Qatar. The role focuses on representing the procurement department, guiding supplier negotiations, and managing the category strategy to achieve value and cost efficiency.

The candidate will oversee cross-functional teams, monitor KPIs, and drive strategic procurement, risk management, and supplier performance to deliver savings and quality improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in management, engineering, logistics, or equivalent.
• 6-8 years in procurement and supply chain roles (category manager or similar).
• 3+ years in a leadership role managing cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with commercial units as a representative of the purchasing department.
• Manage internal customer relationships for the relevant category.
• Conduct supplier negotiations and set prices/terms to ensure quality and cost reductions.
