Job summary

Closer Consulting in Lisbon is seeking a QA Test Lead / Senior Test Specialist to drive testing for complex banking and insurance projects. You will lead, mentor, and coordinate testers, define test plans, and ensure timely delivery within Agile frameworks.

Required are 5+ years leading software testing, ISTQB-aligned knowledge, SQL and API testing, and experience with ALM Octane, JIRA, Confluence. Proficiency in French is also expected.

Qualifications

• Academic background with a degree in Computer Science, Informatics, or an equivalent field.
• Proven track record of at least 5 years leading and executing software testing activities.
• Proficiency in French.
• Solid grasp of core testing concepts, methodologies, and terminology aligned with ISTQB standards, alongside a clear comprehension of overall project delivery frameworks.
• Demonstrated capability in defining comprehensive test strategies and managing test timelines and schedules.
• Experience coordinating, supervising, and mentoring software testers.
• Practical experience operating effectively within Agile methodologies.
• Familiarity with project tracking and testing management tools such as ALM Octane, JIRA, and Confluence.
• Working knowledge of SQL and API testing.
• Previous experience validating systems within the banking or life insurance sectors (highly valued).
• Strong risk assessment and risk tracking abilities.
• Excellent leadership, team coordination, and motivational skills.
• Rigorous logical, analytical, and critical thinking with effective synthesis and summarization skills.
