Job summary

Bekaert is seeking a highly technical Technical Product Owner / Lead Engineer to drive the evolution of its engineering calculation software ecosystem in Portugal. You will own the roadmap, balance transformation with ongoing support, and collaborate with engineering, IT, and commercial teams.

You’ll translate structural engineering principles into software requirements, validate calculations, review code quality, and contribute to development using C#, .NET, and Python.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of structural design principles, engineering standards (Eurocodes, ACI, or equivalent).
• Hands-on software development experience with C#, .NET, Python and modern web apps.

Responsibilities

• Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for engineering calculation tools.
• Define priorities, milestones, and release plans aligned with business objectives.
• Translate engineering principles into software requirements and specifications.
• Lead and coordinate external development partners and internal teams.
• Ensure traceability between design codes and software logic.
