Job summary

Bekaert is seeking a highly technical, business-oriented Technical Product Owner / Lead Engineer to lead the evolution of our engineering calculation software ecosystem in Lisbon. You will own the end-to-end journey, transforming legacy Excel-based tools into a modern web-based platform and collaborate with engineering, IT, and business stakeholders to define the roadmap and deliverables.

Ideal candidates combine structural engineering expertise with hands-on software development in C#, .NET,

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of Eurocodes and engineering standards.
• Hands-on software development in C#, .NET and Python.
• Experience translating engineering models into software.
• Ability to lead roadmaps and collaborate across teams in an international setting.

Responsibilities

• Own vision, strategy, and roadmap for engineering calculation tools.
• Define priorities, milestones, and release plans aligned with objectives.
• Bridge between engineering, software development, IT, Commercial teams.
• Review and govern engineering algorithms and calculation methodologies.
• Lead external development partners and coordinate teams.
• Drive modernization from Excel/VBA to web apps.
