Job summary

Capgemini Engineering is seeking a Senior Java Tech Lead in Portugal to steer the technical design and delivery of enterprise applications within a highly regulated pharmaceutical ecosystem. You will define architecture, drive technical excellence, and guide development teams to build secure, scalable solutions.

You will work with Java, Spring Boot, and microservices, ensuring robust CI/CD practices, security, and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in software development, with strong expertise in Java technologies.
• Proven experience in technical leadership and software architecture design.
• Strong knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, and enterprise application development.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Solid understanding of software security, performance optimization, and scalability principles.
• Experience conducting code reviews and promoting development best practices.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience working with Agile methodologies.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent in Portuguese and English.

• Experience with modern frontend technologies and full-stack environments.
• Relevant certifications in Java, Cloud, Architecture, or Agile methodologies.
• Experience leading distributed or multidisciplinary teams.
