Job summary

GRiT Solutions in Portugal seeks a Systems Administrator to join a multidisciplinary team responsible for the ongoing administration, maintenance and evolution of IT infrastructures. You will ensure Windows and Linux systems run with high availability, security and performance, while handling incidents and backups on an ITSM platform.

Required are 3+ years in IT infrastructure, hands-on Windows and Linux, and O365/M365 management. Portuguese (EU) and English at B2 level are essential.

Qualifications

• Over 3 years of experience in IT infrastructure administration.
• Hands-on administration of Windows and Linux.
• Configuration management of O365 and M365.
• Day-to-day use of ticketing and ITSM systems.
• Virtualization environments, namely VMware or Hyper-V.
• Working knowledge of Zabbix configuration.
• Intel hardware knowledge.
• E-mail systems, on-premises or SaaS.
• Active Directory, OUs and GPOs.
• European Portuguese and English at B2 level.
• Attentive listening, with a solution-oriented approach whenever input is requested.
• Structured communication, from brief summaries to detailed explanations.

Responsibilities

• Integrate into a multidisciplinary, multi-client team delivering continuous support.
• Administer, maintain and evolve IT infrastructures, ensuring OS and server availability, reliability and security.
• Monitor performance and troubleshoot systems and networks; roll out updates and improvements.
• Handle incidents and requests on an ITSM platform; manage backups and data recovery.
• Participate in infra and technology projects; prepare for standby and on-call readiness as assessed by Team Leader.

Job Description:

Integration into a multidisciplinary, multi-client team delivering continuous support, with an active role in the administration, maintenance and evolution of IT infrastructures. Operating system and server availability, reliability and security, performance monitoring, system and network troubleshooting, rollout of updates, patches and improvements. Incident and request handling on an ITSM platform, backup management and data recovery, participation in infrastructure and technology projects. Future integration into the standby and on-call team, subject to the Team Leader's assessment of readiness.
