Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Linux System Administrator to join our teams. The professional will be responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of our information systems, playing a crucial role in the maintenance and evolution of our technological infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain the server infrastructure (physical and virtual), operating systems, networks, and applications, ensuring their proper functioning and availability.
• Participate in the implementation, configuration, and optimisation of new systems and technologies, following best practices and security standards.
• Implement and monitor alert systems to proactively identify and resolve performance, capacity, and security issues.
• Diagnose and resolve Level 2 and 3 incidents, collaborating with other teams and vendors when necessary, ensuring business continuity.
• Develop and implement automation scripts to optimise routine tasks and improve process efficiency.
• Implement and maintain security policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
• Create and maintain detailed technical documentation about the infrastructure, processes, and procedures.
• Work closely with other technical and non‑technical teams, communicating clearly and effectively about technical issues.
• Collaborate on system implementation and upgrade projects, from the planning phase to delivery and follow‑up.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in system administration, including server, network, and application management.
• Strong knowledge of operating systems (Linux).
• Experience with virtualization tools (e.g., VMware, Hyper‑V).
• Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
• Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python, PowerShell, mainly Shell Scripting) for task automation.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve technical problems efficiently.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Fluency in English (spoken and written).

Additional Qualifications (Valued)

• Experience with system monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus).
• Knowledge of configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
• Familiarity with Cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with data backup and recovery tools.
• Knowledge of information security.
