ZF LIFETEC is expanding its Electronics Testing team at the Portugal Engineering Center in Ponte de Lima. The System Test Engineer will verify embedded systems and automotive ECUs, develop test concepts and automated test sequences, and contribute to validation activities across international sites.

We seek an engineer with a degree in a relevant field, strong knowledge of CAN/LIN, and hands-on experience with test benches and ALM tools.

Competenze

• University degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Communications Engineering or a comparable technical field.
• Good understanding of electronic systems, ECUs and embedded systems, including CAN and LIN.
• Experience in electronics development, verification & validation or system testing, ideally in automotive.
• Experience with Vector CANoe, CANape or vTESTstudio, HiL testing, automated testing or test-bench development is an advantage.
• Knowledge of requirements-based testing and traceability; experience with ALM systems like PTC Integrity or Codebeamer is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, hands-on mindset, good communication, and good English.

• Plan and perform system-level verification and validation activities based on system requirements.

• Collaborate closely with electronics testing and engineering teams in Ponte de Lima, Vigo, Alfdorf and Częstochowa, sharing technical expertise, test methods and best practices.

Your profile

• University degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Communications Engineering or a comparable technical field.
• Good understanding of electronic systems, ECUs and embedded systems, including automotive communication technologies such as CAN and LIN.
• Practical experience in electronics development, verification & validation or system testing, ideally within the automotive industry.
• Experience with Vector CANoe, CANape or vTESTstudio, as well as HiL testing, automated testing or test-bench development, is an advantage.
• Good understanding of requirements-based testing and requirements-to-test traceability; experience with PTC Integrity, Codebeamer or comparable ALM systems is a plus.
• Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills, a hands-on mindset, good communication skills and a good command of English.
