Job summary

ZF LIFETEC in Ponte de Lima is seeking an Application Engineer to support the design, validation, and release of inflator versions according to customer specifications.

Responsibilities include change management, analysis with fault tree/DFMEA, Six Sigma tools, and prototype build planning to ensure on-time delivery. Fluency in English and Portuguese is required; German is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical or equivalent) required.
• CAD experience preferred.
• Fluent in English and Portuguese; German is a plus.

• Use engineering tools such as fault tree analysis, DFMEA, statistical analysis, root cause analysis and margin testing.

• Plan and track prototype builds to ensure on-time delivery to customers.

Your profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering (Mechanical or equivalent).
• CAD and design experience is preferred.
• Fluent in English and Portuguese language.
• Working knowledge of basic statistics (Minitab), MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Must have strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work in team environment
• Knowledge in German is preferred.
