Job summary

ZF LIFETEC is expanding its Engineering team at the Ponte de Lima Plant (PEC) to drive product development and validation in collaboration with key customers such as Volvo, Stellantis, Volkswagen, and Jaguar Land Rover.

The role focuses on validating products against customer specifications, coordinating safe, manufacturable designs, and identifying critical design points. Candidates should hold an Engineering degree and possess strong problem-solving and Six-Sigma awareness.

Qualifications

• Master/Bachelor's in Engineering (Mechanics, Materials, Textiles and Polymers) required.
• Knowledge of Product and Process and Project Management.
• Knowledge of Technical Drawings.
• Good IT skills at user level.
• Fluent in English; Six-Sigma knowledge desirable.

Responsibilities

• Validate products based on customer specifications.
• Support coordination of actions to ensure safe, manufacturable designs.
• Identify critical design points.
• Apply root-cause analysis and problem-solving to improve design (Six-Sigma).
• Prototype samples and manage testing.

Your profile

• Master/Bachelor´s in Engineering (Mechanics, Materials, Textiles and Polymers);
• Knowledge of Product and Process and Project Management;
• Knowledge of Technical Drawings;
• Good knowledge of IT at user level;
• Solid knowledge of English;
• Desirable: Six-Sigma knowledge.
