Job summary

Preh Portugal, Lda, based in Trofa, is seeking a Quality Engineer for Electronics & Testing Laboratory to help develop and maintain automotive technologies. You will work in a dynamic, international environment and contribute to quality across product development and production.

The role requires 1–2 years in electronics or quality engineering, familiarity with CAN/LIN, and a proactive, growth-minded mindset. English proficiency is essential; German is a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 1–2 years hands-on experience in electronics, quality engineering, or product development.
• Knack for software programming and automation is a strong plus.
• Working knowledge of CAN/LIN communication protocols.
• Solid grasp of quality standards, methodologies and root-cause solving techniques.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; SAP knowledge is a plus.

About the Role

As a Quality Engineer - Electronics & Testing Laboratory, you will be part of our growing team at Preh Portugal (Trofa), contributing to the development and maintenance of innovative automotive technologies.

You’ll work in a dynamic, international environment, using the latest tools and platforms to tackle real-world challenges.

The Challenges in Front of You

• Diagnose and resolve quality issues affecting products and processes.
  Investigate internal and customer defects, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
• Validate product changes, ensuring compliance with technical requirements and maintaining quality during production.
• Calibrate and maintain measuring and monitoring equipment in accordance with internal standards and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with quality regulations, ESD procedures, and industry standards.
  Prepare and maintain internal measurement and quality reports.
• Support firmware flashing and programming operations for electronic boards.
• Maintain strong collaboration with other laboratories within the Preh Group.
